COUNSELLING in Barnet, North London

My Counselling Approach

I work as a person-centred counsellor and navigate towards a humanistic approach, which is about free will, self-discovery and achieving your full potential as a human being. It is client-led, and the therapeutic relationship between the counsellor and you, the client, is vital to our work in a safe, contained environment. I will help you to explore your own issues, feelings, beliefs, behaviour, and worldview, so you can become more self-confident and self-aware to achieve greater independence and empower change.

TA is a psychological theory and method of therapy that analyses social interactions to understand behaviour and promote personal growth. By understanding these states and how they influence transactions (interactions), you can improve communication, resolve conflicts, and build healthier relationships.

• Improved communication skills and conflict resolution

• Enhanced relationships with others

• Personal growth and development by addressing past experiences and developing healthier behaviours

How it Works

• I will respond and arrange a convenient time for an informal FREE 20-minute call or Zoom consultation.

• I will ask you about what brings you to counselling and what your goals might be, as well as talk you through the therapeutic process. It's a great opportunity for you to raise any concerns that you may have, and feel free to ask me questions.

• If I can help you and you want to proceed, we can book your first session on an agreed day and time. If necessary, I can signpost you to a more appropriate professional if I feel I am not the right counsellor for you.

• All counselling sessions are carried out online via the secure platform Zoom, ideally we would meet same date and time weekly. You will be emailed a link to your online therapy room the week before your appointment. You just click on the link to access your session – and the link stays the same for each weekly session. Before your first session, you will be emailed an agreement form to fill out.
